TheEnglish Language Center (ELC) at the University of Denver (DU) prepares English
language learners with the necessary communicative and cultural competencies to
be successful members of the University of Denver or other institutions of
higher education in the United States. Located in the beautiful state of
Colorado, just minutes from downtown Denver, the ELC offers students an
exciting opportunity to study in a unique intensive English program.
COMPETITION
PROCESS
The
ELC is inviting students with a high school degree who want to improve their
English language skills in order to study in an undergraduate or graduate
degree program to participate in the Study English in Denver contest.
The
competition is composed of 21 questions that will test your knowledge of the
University of Denver and the English Language Center. 10 finalists will then be
chosen to submit essays and participate in an interview. From this group of
finalists, one winner will be chosen.
PRIZE
DESCRIPTION
Three quarters of tuition and fees for the English Language Center's intensive English program (Levels Foundation – Advanced High).
TERMS
AND CONDITIONS
The
competition organizers reserve the right to choose the winners at their sole
discretion. In order to receive and accept the prize, the student must meet the
admission requirements of the English Language Center and the University of
Denver, which both reserve the right to make the final decision regarding the student’s
eligibility. Although not anticipated, competition rules and prizes may be
changed or altered at any time.
The
prize does not include tuition for credit-bearing courses in the LAUNCH
Curriculum or any other courses at the University of Denver.
