The Chalmers Challenge - Indonesia & Thailand Edition

About the Challenge
Bachelor’s engineering students from Thailand and Indonesia can compete in this challenge to win one of six Amazon gift cards worth up to 2,000 sek (about 8,500 Thai baht and 3,200,000 Indonesian rupiah) while learning more about Chalmers University of Technology! Take the competition by the April 13, 2015 deadline!

Competition process
1. Take the quizzes!
  • Students from Thailand take the Thailand-Sweden Quiz, and students from Indonesia take the Indonesia-Sweden Quiz. All participants will take the Chalmers Quiz
2. Answer an essay question and write your personal motivation.
  • Answer an innovation essay question, and let us know what sets you apart from others in the competition!
3.Share your profile.
  • Share your public profile with everyone you know. Collect the most recommendations to increase your chances of winning!
Important competition dates
  • 25 November - Competition opens
  • 13 April - Application to the Chalmers Challenge closes
  • 27 April - Finalists announced on website
  • 11 May - Winners announced
Chalmers application dates
  • 15 January - Application to Chalmers’ Master’s programmes closes (see application process here)
  • 15 January - Application to Chalmers’ scholarships closes (see application process here)
  • 2 February - All required documents must have reached the address of University Admissions in Sweden
  • 2 February - Deadline for receipt of application fee
  • 13 April - Last date to reply to your offer of a study seat at Chalmers University of Technology
  • 26 March - Admissions results are notified online
Eligibility
Bachelor's engineering students from Indonesia and Thailand can apply to win one of six Amazon gift cards, while learning more about Chalmers University of Technology!

Screening process 
  • All participants will be judged according to their overall performance in the competition, which will be based on both competition performance and the personal statement
  • 10 finalists (five from Thailand and five from Indonesia) will be selected and officially presented April 27, 2015 on the competition website
  • The winners will be announced by May 11, 2015
  • Up to six winners (three from Thailand and three from Indonesia) will receive Amazon gift cards!
Additional rules
  • When registering an account, it is necessary to accept Student Competitions' Terms & Conditions, which apply for all competitions organized by Student Competitions AB.
  • Only one entry is accepted per participant
  • All participation in the competition must be individual
  • No prize alternatives or cash equivalents are offered
  • Prizes are non-transferable
  • The winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes related to the acceptance of the prize
  • The jury, consisting of representatives from Student Competitions and Chalmers University of Technology, reserves the right to choose the winners at their sole discretion
  • The jury also reserves the right to choose no winner if, at the jury’s sole discretion, an insufficient number of eligible and/or qualified entries are received. Incomplete and/or inaccurate entries and entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification
  • Student Competitions reserves the right to change these terms at any time
  • The terms are governed by Swedish law and therefore you submit to the jurisdiction of the Swedish courts
