The
Allard Prize Committee oversees the semi-annual Allard Prize Photography
Competition, which recognizes photographic excellence reflecting the ideals of
the Allard Prize. Each winning entry receives a CDN $1,000 cash prize and is
featured on the Allard Prize website for six months.
The
Allard Prize Committee is delighted to announce the winners of its November
2014 Allard Prize Photography Competition.
Congratulations
to Fernando Moleres of Spain, Sudipto Das of India, Katharina Hesse of China,
Jonathan Alpeyrie of the United States and Greg Constantine of Thailand for
their successful entries. The Allard Prize Photography Competition jury
selected these entries as they reflect the ideals of the Allard Prize through
compelling images that capture the themes of courage and leadership in
combating corruption, and of human rights or anti-corruption generally.
The
Allard Prize Committee enthusiastically invites photographers from around the
globe to submit entries for the Allard Prize Photography Competition,
reflecting themes of courage and leadership in combating corruption, especially
through promoting transparency, accountability and the Rule of Law, and of
human rights and/or anti-corruption generally.
Each
winning entry will receive:
- CDN $1,000
- photograph featured on the Allard Prize website for six months
- inclusion of the photographer's name, and brief description of the photograph, on the website
- inclusion of the photograph in the website archive as a past winner
The
jury for the Allard Prize Photography Competition is currently comprised of
members of the Allard Prize Committee and Maxe Fisher, Associate Professor,
Faculty of Design + Dynamic Media, Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
