Indonesia is well-known for its enormous mineral resources such as gold, copper, tin, etc. It is a Urgent obligation to the university graduates to be familiar and understand about how to utilize these resources to fulfil our development towards prosperity in a concept of sustainable development. Therefore, we intend to held a great paper contest called as International Student Paper Contest Universitas Gadjah Mada 2015 (ISPC UGM 2015).
ISPC UGM 2015 is one of the greatest Student Paper Contest in the World that held by Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Geologi UGM (HMTG). ISPC UGM 2015 is a part of Geoweek’s Series Event. This year ISPC has focused to the hard-rock session by theme “Mining and Economic Geology in Sustainable Development“. The theme is defined as Ore Mineral Resources, Industrial Mineral Resources, Gemstone Resources, and Environment and Mining Technology.
Our goal organizing this Event is to encourage the student to delve and to do more research about Mining and Economic Geology in Green concept as Sustainable Development, then write it into the art of research named Paper.
We hope that ISPC UGM 2015 will improve student’s interest in writing a paper, especially about Mining and Economic Geology. Thus, it will improve the quality of Indonesia graduates who will Lead the International future development.
This year, our target participant are undergraduate student who’s Major Geology, Geophysics, Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and the other major over the World’s University.
The Sub-theme for ISPC are:
- Ore Mineral Resources
- Industrial Mineral Resources
- Gemstone Resources
- Environment and Mining Technology
The Timeline of ISPC UGM 2015 is explained below:
A. Registration and Abstract Submission (March 30th – September 4th 2015)
### For any undergraduate students who are going to join ISPC UGM 2015, please pay attention to followings step for registration:
Send your abstract to: ispc@ugm.ac.id
Only single-author, double-author or triple-author presentation/papers are eligible. We will send you back an email after we receive your abstract. Please download the Registration Form ISPC UGM 2015, and send back to us with the abstract submission.
### For regional university students, the payment is IDR 100k and for international student the payment is USD 15. Please transfer your payment to:

B. Abstract Selection and Full Paper Submission (September 18th and September 30th 2015)
The Abstract that has been submitted will be selected and judged by UGM lecturer. There will be 10 best paper that can qualify for the next step. The announcement for those who will go to the next step will be given on September 18th at:
After this announcement, The 10 Best Paper’s Author should send the full paper and the slide of presentation to email ISPC@ugm.ac.id before September 30th 2015.
C. Final Presentation (October 12th – 13th 2015)
The 10 best paper chosen should follow the final presentation that will be held on October 12th – 13th 2015 at Grha Sabha Pramana UGM. On October 12th 2015 will be a technical meeting for participant. On the next day, October 13th 2015, Final Presentation and Champion Announcement will be held.
The Ist, 2nd, and 3rd Champions of ISPC UGM 2015 will be published in a Proceeding of 8th National Seminar of Geoscience UGM 2015 and can follow the event that will held on October 16th 2015.
