The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition

DEADLINE: April 17, 2015

Each year a team of dedicated volunteer judges from across the Commonwealth come together to review the thousands of essays, plays, letters and other creative responses submitted to the competition. The RCS is looking for a number of additional judges for 2015.

Judges volunteer their time because of their passion for the English language, their interest in the year’s theme (see below for 2015) and to gain experience in an international education project.

To be eligible for the role, applicants should:

• be over 18 years old
• have an interest in the Commonwealth and/or international affairs
• be available between 22th May to 6th July (just under 7 weeks)
• have approximately 3–4 hours a week during that period available for judging

If you are interested, please email a short paragraph outlining your interest in the role and how you meet the requirements by Friday 17th April.
